T.I.’s Sixth Studio Album “Paper Trail” Set for Release
August 31, 2008 | Author: OfficiallyHipHop
Rapper T.I., also known as T.I.P., set the tone for his sixth studio album “Paper Trail” by releasing his smash hit “Whatever You Like”, which recently topped the US Billboard Hot 100 and dethroned Rihanna’s “Disturbia”. The single also broke the record for the biggest leap to number one in a week on the Billboard Hot 100, which was previously held by Maroon 5’s “Makes Me Wonder”.
The long-awaited album will feature guest appearances from prominent superstars such as Rihanna, Kanye West, Usher and Justin Timberlake. Singles “Swing Ya Rag”, “What’s Up, What’s Happenin”, and “Ready for Whatever” are also scheduled for early release before the album hits stores on September 30, 2008.
For this album, the Rubberband Man revisited the practice of writing down his lyrics on paper, a practice he abandoned after his moderately-successful first studio album “I’m Serious” was released in 2001.
T.I. has an outstanding track record of commercial success with his previous albums, and “Paper Trial” should be no different upon its release.
After T.I.’s debut, the rapper recorded Platinum album “Trap Muzik”, which was released in the summer of 2003 and sold over a million copies in the US alone. His third album, “Urban Legend”, saw the light of day in late 2004, and it featured his first top 10 single, “Bring ‘Em Out”. Two years later, the album “King” debuted at #1 on the Billboard 200 chart and sold over half a million copies in its opening week, and eventually went on to earn the rapper a Grammy nomination for Best Rap Album. T.I.’s fifth studio album, “T.I. vs. T.I.P.”, swept the US charts upon release and sold 468,000 copies in the United States.

I can’t wait for T.I.’s new album to come out. Right now I’m listening to “whatever you like” and I think he did a good job on the music video too.
Nice site, thanks for information!
