“Virtual Diva” is the first release of Puerto-Rican rapper Don Omar’s third studio album “iDon”, due out on April 28.
The single was played over the radio throughout December 2008, gaining huge popularity. It reached No. 1 on the U.S. Billboard Latin Rhythm Airplay chart (currently No. 3) and had high rankings on a number of other airplay and Latin charts.
“Virtual Diva” exemplifies the currently popular electronic-dance genre with its energetic vibe integrated with an urban beat. Don Omar raps the entire single in Spanish, save for the one line in English “She’s on fire!”, while exhibiting stylish flow in vocal rhythm with changing beats.
If not for the lively beat blend and vocal flow alone, “Virtual Diva” is a cool single for urban music lovers. It was released digitally on February 3 and is available on iTunes (check it out here).
