Swing - Savage (feat. Soulja Boy Tell ‘Em)

“Swing” is the first single of New Zealand rapper Savage’s debut album, “Moonshine” (2005) but has been re-released as a non-album single, featuring Soulja Boy. “Swing” marks Savage’s debut as the main man on a single recording in the US, as “Swing” is re-released by record label Universal Music Group.
“Swing” has a frivolous and lusty topic all about chicks swinging hips and admiration of their physical assets, as Savage playfully raps throughout the chorus “let me see your hips swing” with a vocal exclamation on “Swing” by Soulja Boy.
Savage throws several out other chick commands, demanding a variety of booty positions and moves throughout the track, such as “Now drop low”, “let it pop, ladies drop like it’s hot”, “Knees bent, a*s out, let me see your a*s out” and “Let it rise then watch it dump, shaking your junk in the trunk”.
Savage punctuates the steady tempo in the second verse with the stuttering lyrics “And - I - like - the way you move it smoothly” and “Now why - don’t - you move that booty - to - me” to make the return to the “SWING” rhyme feel slightly new again later.
“Swing” was released on iTunes in April (listen to it here) and reached as high as No. 21 on the US Billboard Hot Rap Tracks chart (currently No.23 still). It brings a hip gyrating beat with mischievous lyrics to produce an enjoyable re-release of the 2005 single.
