December 23, 2008 | Author: Rhydian H.M.
“Move (If You Wanna)” is the first single of Mims’ third album “Guilt” set to be released in early 2009, following his second album “More Than Meets the Eye” released six months ago in June.
In “Move (If You Wanna)”, Mims’ is back to show us “this is why I’m hot” and then blast all his “haters” at the same time. Chicago based Da Internz worked the production with an energetic beat, providing trance inducing loops to “Move if you wanna, if you wanna, if you wanna”. It also features a synthesized voice that takes over the hook throughout.
Mims’ starts the first verse expressing his grievance, rhyming “I don’t understand how I can have so many haters, knowin’ I’m their father like my name is Darth Vader”. He later states why they be haten in the second verse “Tryina’ have a little fun, maybe move a couple numbers but when you movin numbers, all the haters start to wonder; then they talk behind your back, in the breath they speakin’ under”.
Coming to the end of his return, Mims’ reminds us that he’s hot, shouting “Man I’m hot, like the sun, like the middle of the summer! Striker down in a flash, n*gga you can call me thunder!”
“Move (If You Wanna)” was officially released on iTunes on December 23 (check it out here), at which point you’ll can get your first taste of Mims’ flow going into 2009.
