Indestructible - Ruste Juxx

November 7, 2008 | Author: Rhydian H.M.

Ruste Juxx, who has so far briefed us with his popular underground single “Vic Flair”, finally gets to take centre stage on an album, with his debut LP “Indestructible”, after years of only featuring verses or hooks on Boot Camp Click’s productions, including Sean Price’s “Monkey Barz” (2005) and Jesus Price Supastar” (2007) albums. “Indestructible” is presented by Sean Price, as Executive Producer, and the album also has a substantial production influence by Black Milk, Dan the Man, PF Cuttin and Masse Salazar.

Diving into the album, “Wipe Off Ya Smile”, featuring Blaze (Ruste Juxx’s sister who passed away this year), sets off the album with a killer beat and aggressive, flowing rhymes; and “Get Up”, third on the list, stands out for entertainment as Ruste Juxx invites his son Lil Vic to rap, and the duo rhyme to an old school break beat.

From the heart of the LP: “Grave Digga” gives the first taste of cool sounds from Masse Salazar, which exemplifies Ruste Juxx darkness (as well as “To All My Enemies”) as he death threats throughout; “Let Me In” Ruste Juxx comically rhymes, on top of sounds by Dan The Man, about a girl hunt in a club; and  “Pimpin’ Ya Wife” follows, as he raps a familiar theme of prostituting the wife of an enemy.

Finishing off the album, Ruste Juxx shows his noble side as he gives a heartfelt dedication to his deceased sister Blaze in “Blaze My Fire” and more familial dedications in “Optimistic”, to close out the album and look forward with warm notes.

“Indestructible” was released on October 28 and is loaded with great beats and rhymes, proving Ruste Juxx’s ability to take the lyrical limelight he’s been waiting for for so long.
