“I Get It In” is the second release of 50 Cent’s upcoming fourth album “Before I Self Destruct”, due to be released in March. The latest track follows the lead single “Get Up” that was released back in October, 2008.
“Before I Self Destruct” was meant to be released last December, but its postponement allows for the worthy savoring of this single more completely. “I Get It In” was produced by Dr. Dre, who delivers a typically catchy beat with an abundance of stirring melodies.
In “I Get It In”, the spirit of the beat complements 50 Cent, as he gets into the party mood with hedonistic lyrics accounting night after night of Moet fuelled outings, strippers and carefree sexual outcomes, while his flow moderates with mild cadence and tamed intensity.
As the beat shines through, 50 Cent gets the party going by bragging about his pull “as soon as I step in the club I swear my n**ga you can feel the attention shift”. 50 is then quickly allured by the bar rapping “I need a drink, give me a drink”, while attempting to mitigate the resulting carelessness in “I can’t be responsible for what I say or I do when I talk intoxicated”.
With a combination of typically lavish 50 Cent lyrics and a Dre inspired banging beat, “I Get It In” produces ample excitement to get the crowds bumping on the dance floor after its digital release February 10. The single has already reached No. 12 on the U.S. Billboard Hot Rap Tracks chart and is available on iTunes here.
