“Freeze”, is southern R&B singer/songwriter T-Pain’s third release of his upcoming third album, “Thr33 Ringz”, due to be released on November 11.
In this single, T-Pain teams up with Chris Brown to add to the list of successful star collaborations on his latest album; so far working with Little Wayne on his first release “Can’t Believe It” (making it to No. 2 the on US Billboard Top R&B/Hip Hop Songs chart) and then with Ludacris for his second single “Chopped N’ Skrewed” (which has made it to No. 19 of the same chart).
In “Freeze”, T-Pain brings us another soulful installment, with a story about romancing a girl on the dance floor at a club. It has a buoyant and jumpy beat, as T-Pain sings about flirting and boasting his dance skills, entering with “I get it down on the dance floor; watch this, hey!”, and then later “You know what I do, if you can do it too”.
Chris Brown weighs in with similarly flirtatious dance invitations, such as ”Let’s get up on this floor and do this thing for real” and self promotion with “You ain’t gotta say it…You think I’m fly, don’t cha”. The pair tandem with the beat throughout and deliver the hook “Girl I’ve been waiting all night to see you dance like me, and you gon’ sweat your outfit out tryna dance like me…”.
“Freeze” was released on the iTunes Music Store on October 10 and it has it has made it to No. 38 on the US Billboard Hot 100 in its first week on the chart, making it two top 40s for T-Pain at the same time.
