Dreamgirl - Tay Dizm (feat. Akon)

Tay Dizm has been most prominent as T-Pain’s hype man and was featured on his album, but since signing for the Nappy Boy Entertainment label, the Florida born rapper is now making his own name by following up 2008’s debut single “Beam Me Up” with “Dreamgirl”.

“Dreamgirl” presents a heartfelt tribute song to a desired girl, with Tay Dizm welcoming guest Akon to ensure she gets the message one way or the other. The single throws compliments her way at every opportunity and vows to provide her with all she needs, as Tay Dizm bursts through high-tempo, beat synchronous tributes, rapping “If you love me, I could give you everything that you need…there’s no person that could take your place”.

Akon follows up with a smoother, more impassioned vocal approach as he caresses lyrics such as “She just the type (type) that I been searching for awhile now” and “you’re the type (type) that gets it poppin’ every single night.” Inspired by Akon, Tay Dizm also gets in the smooth groove, changing up his style with a soulful “She’s my dream girl, wanna make her my only….She’s my dream girl, I want you to put in on, She’s my dream girl, wanna make her my baby…”

“Dreamgirl” builds harmony with a variety of rhythmic layers, which produces a vibe that is both uplifting in the spirit of the lyrics and occasionally exhilarating. It was released on January 9 and is available on iTunes (check it out here).
