Cash Flow - Ace Hood (feat. T-Pain & Rick Ross)

August 3, 2008 | Author: John Paz

DJ Khaled is one of the hottest producers/DJs out right now. Everything he touches turns gold. He is especially known for making historic collabos. This collaboration features a song about money and Rick Ross; not exactly stunning. But Rick Ross does what he does best, make everyone think he really enjoys selling drugs. Rick Ross always has clever word choice and at times can make some witty and intelligent observations, this is not one of those times.

T-Pain absolutely makes this song. As usual Teddy Penderassdown makes his synthesized voice implant itself into your head. You will definitely find yourself singing “cash flooooow, I need it right now, I’m talkin’ bank roooolll. My money, my money…”

Khaled is a gifted producer and can be given just as much credit as T-Pain for making this song successful. His beats are so wonderfully complicated it leads one to wonder if the average listener appreciates the multitude of sounds this man adds to his beats.

Last, and certainly least, is Ace’s first few verses of this song which are almost fast-forward-able. Ace Hood seems like he makes up all his flows on the tour bus and uses the things he sees out the window as inspiration (“he can get pumped like a Citgo”). He adds nothing to the song that any other average rapper couldn’t add. If Rick Ross is betting that Ace won’t fold, I hope he doesn’t have much riding on him unless he’s got something else up his sleeve.
