Brooklyn Girls - Charles Hamilton

December 11, 2008 | Author: Rhydian H.M.

“Brooklyn Girls” is a leaked single from New York producer-come-performer/self-labeled musician Charles Hamilton, whose upcoming mixtape is entitled “Green Lantern Presents Charles Hamilton: Outside Looking”. Charles Hamilton has released a number of mixtapes for download as well as his first solo album “The Pink Lavalamp”, which he insists is not associated with his record label Interscope.

In “Brooklyn Girls”, Sonic The Hedgehog fanatic Charles Hamilton takes the opportunity to rank “BK girls” above any other, as well as give himself the occasional pat on the back. With a self-produced instrument rich steady sound, he rhythmically insists “I aint got no problem wit girls out in Harlem, but they aint nuttin like a Brooklyn girl”, and likewise for girls from Queens and The Bronx. Not wanting to skip details, Charles Hamilton describes the Brooklyn assets specifically “High class chicks that be crazy in the brain” as well as “style so mean, swag is vicious, smile O.D., a*s delicious.”

Putting himself in the spotlight, he doesn’t neglect some bragging, first about his pull “I remember when I couldn’t get a girl for sh*t, now I cant get rid of any girl for sh*t” and his level “I’m an uptown boy with Soho flavor, the beat is D minor, but I’m oh so major”.

The leaking of “Brooklyn Girls” (listen to it here) has made it all the easier for Charles Hamilton to “spread love” and with the swagger he exudes on this single he’s sure to receive an equal measure of love, as he probably expects.
