Kanye’s “Heartless”; Unk Back in “Second Season”

Well tonight turned into a longer night than I thought, so I asked myself…why not stay up just a little bit longer and check out all the new releases on iTunes for this week? And then while I’m at it, why don’t I just tell you about all the cool singles/albums I found?

So here goes, a brief list of some of the highlights, and I’m starting with Kanye West.

1. Heartless - Kanye West
Kanye’s recent single “Love Lockdown” definitely provided most of his fans with a new experience, and one that strays from the artists’ normal rapping style (such as album “Late Registration”). But if you enjoyed the simplistic, synthesized song, then you need to check out his latest single “Heartless”, which describes a man loosing his soul, to a woman so heartless. It’s got a catchy beat, and mixed with West’s strong vocals, it makes for a great single.

2. Second Season - Unk
Anyone still dancing to the sensational dance hit “Walk It Out” by Unk? If so, I’d recommend giving up those “Beat’n Down Yo Block” tracks momentarily, because Unk is back with another album entitled “Second Season”. Unk brings some familiar faces to this album, including the Ying Yang Twins, Sean Kingston and Ray-J. And while you can’t deny that many of these tracks sound alike (and sometimes repetitive), at least check out songs “She Freaky”, “You Can Do It” and “You’re The One”.

3. Indestructible - Ruste Juxx
And finally, artist Ruste Juxx is releasing his first solo project, entitled “Indestructible”. The Crown Heights, Brooklyn artist has previously collaborated on many projects, including Sean Price’s, “Monkey Barz,” “Master P,” and “Jesus Price Supastar” albums. His fourth track, “Machine Gun Skunk”, has already skyrocketed in popularity, and is followed by tracks “Grave Digga” and “Wipe Off Ya Smile”.
