Ice Cube Debuted Atop Charts, Lil Wayne Followed

This week, rapper Ice Cube’s eighth studio album, “Raw Footage”, debuted at #1 on the Billboard Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums of the week, knocking out Lil Wayne’s multi-platinum album “The Carter III” in the process. Rihanna’s blockbuster album “Good Girl Gone Bad” followed, reclaiming its peak position at #3. Then at the #4 position, Lloyd’s “Lessons in Love” found its place, after retreating two positions on the charts. Finally, Shwayze’s self-titled album made a bow at #5.
Further on down the charts, Nas’ “Untitled” arrived at #6, giving up two positions, while Plies’ “Definition of Real” inched down one rank to land on #7, and leaving Marvin Sapp’s “Thirsty” holding tight at #8. Lung Berg’s “Look What You Made Me” tumbled six positions to seize #9, and then David banner’s fifth studio album, “The Greatest Story Ever Told”, closed up the top 10.
