Loose Cannon Makes Official Comeback with Mixtape “Suck My Mic”

Newark-based emcee Loose Cannon is back with his new release entitled “Suck My Mic,” which is hosted by Brick City’s own DJ Reek Gz and features appearances from Rah Digga, Hussein Fatal, Nucci Reyo, Hypno, and Billy Roadz. The new release also features original production from Dame Grease, Sedeck Jean, and more.

Loose, who is a member of The Source’s elite Unsigned Hype alumni, displays his versatility as he rocks over everything from 80’s and 90’s classics to some of today’s biggest radio singles.

Loose Cannon’s determination and drive on this mixtape perfectly exemplifies why he was described by multi-platinum super-producer Dame Grease (Jay-Z, T.I., The LOX) as “the most underrated emcee in the business.” Loose’s booming voice sounds just as at home flowing on Run-DMC’s classic “Sucka MC’s” as he does on Lil’ Wayne and T-Pain’s recent collaboration “Get Money.” Loose Cannon tears through each instrumental with the type of skill and confidence that both commands respect and keeps the listener engaged.

The hunger shown by Loose on “Suck My Mic” may give the impression that he’s brand new to the game, but this is one emcee who has endured his share of trials. The Unsigned Hype nod from The Source led to a short lived deal with Universal, followed by a stint with Ruff Ryders. During that time Loose appeared on several multi-platinum albums and the gold-selling Cradle 2 the Grave Soundtrack alongside 50 Cent, Eminem, & The Clipse.

Loose Cannon then ventured out with a solo album released through Warner Music and his own 6-5 Records imprint, which featured Rah Digga, Fat Joe, and Tony Sunshine, as well as production from Scott Storch, Nick Fury, and Dame Grease.

“Suck My Mic” is the newest chapter in the career of Loose Cannon, but it is one of many more to come.
