Cesar Comanche Preps for New Album Release ‘Die In Your Lap’

Justice League’s Cesar Comanche prepares a new album, called “Die In Your Lap”, involving production by 9th Wonder & Khrysis on Abb Records.
“Die In Your Lap” is Cesar Comanche’s sixth studio album, due to be released on February 24, 2009, with distribution by Defenders Of The Free World (DOTFW), Cesar’s imprint. The LP features production by Khrysis (“Shame”) and by 9th Wonder, a long-time friend and musical collaborator.
The pattern of sound could be labeled “dramatic” and “monumental”, akin to the sense of a landmark moment. The man himself says, “Die In Your Lap is my appreciation and respect of the renaissance with the veteran’s art”, adding “The whole album is about getting things off your chest, getting things off your shoulders.”
The assortment of themes “Die In Your Lap” possesses is similar to previous Cesar releases including Wooden Nickels (2000), Paper Gods (2002) and Squirrel & The Aces (2005), exemplifying a dexterity for conventional and non-traditional techniques that artists meet while striving to bridge consistency in the music and the message. The solution Cesar found was to allow his 4,000 strong community message board “The Lawn” (Love Above Wooden Nickels) to specifically comment on the music and message delivered by “Die In Your Lap” in a critical, constructive and responsive manner.
In addition, “The Chronicles Of Cesar Comanche”, a running Vlog series, has been launched and made publicly available via social networking mediums, P2P networks and blogs. The series features Cesar talking about a range of subjects spanning from sports, politics, and crab recipes to production and inevitably Die In Your Lap.
The first release off Die In Your Lap, “Hands High”, is in circulation at the moment on college, district, internet radio and a range of mixtapes. A music video for it, which was filmed in Wroclaw, Poland, has been released and can be found online on select sites. A variety of appearance dates in important areas and remixes, plus more are on the agenda.
