Interview With Draztic

Many artists get song ideas while traveling, others by brainstorming with friends, and still others by going out and experiencing life. What inspires you to write your next song?

Draztic: The moment. I never write when I’m not inspired. It could be something simple like hearing a melody and letting it dictate the mood of the idea. Or, if I am driving and listening to personalities cover a touching subject, it may move me. At other times, I may have something I want to get off my chest. It simply depends on the moment.

What is your favorite song from your album “The Image of Pain”?

Draztic: My favorite is “The Pain is Gone”.

You’ve got one full-length LP under your belt so far. Where do you go from here?

Draztic: Two full LPs…[Laughs]. But seriously, I am working on a lot of music and I believe 2009 will be a good year for me, and music all around.

What has been your most memorable experience thus far in your music career?

Draztic: Just seeing and hearing people respond to my music has been such a beautiful experience. The response has been exceptional. That means a lot to me because I always try to make each song touch people in some way. Every artist regardless of status wants their music to be loved and embraced. When it happens, it has to be the best feeling in the world.

Is there anything that you want to say to the fans out there?

Draztic: Yes. I would like to say thank you to everyone that has ever supported me and my music. I appreciate every comment, message, email and purchase. Also, look for Phoebe Mac, Profound, Tille Tillz, and Ilonde Kelly (a.k.a King Kahn). These all outstanding artist will be coming soon. Further, I will keep hitting your ears with music in 2009.
