Obsessed with Usher’s “What’s Your Name”, Now Moving On

September 10, 2008 | Author: OfficiallyHipHop

I don’t know how long it takes to get tired of a song, but I’ve got to be somewhat close after listening to Usher’s “What’s Your Name” around 50 times this week.

R&B singer Usher was part of the 2008 NFL Kickoff on Thursday, September 4, performing a few of his hits off recent album “Here I Stand” for thousands of fans in New York City. My favorite songs of the night were “Love In This Club”, Usher’s eighth number one single, and “What’s Your Name”, a fairly popular song that I had neglected for the most part - that is until I watched him perform it live.

Since then, this song has constantly been on “repeat” and I’ve listened to it all the way from early morning before class, all the way until late at night when I’m working on a few web design projects for clients. OK, so maybe I haven’t played it that much, thankfully, and besides, after New Music Tuesday on iTunes, I’ve got new hit “Swagga Like Us” (Jay-Z and T.I.) and Kardinal Offishall’s new album “Not 4 Sale” to check out this week!

So it’s so long to Usher (for now) and onto “Dirt Off Your Shoulder” Jay-Z and King of the South T.I.!
