50 Cent Going For Number One On Billboard Again

While browsing the iTunes Music Store a week ago, I saw a featured ad for an artist whom I have not heard from in a long time – 50 Cent. And it’s not that I don’t keep up with the multi-platinum rapper, it’s just that I’ve grown accustomed to his semi-decent track and album releases, that I haven’t even bothered to pursue his music, even if there was an ad.
Ok, so maybe I did buy tracks “Ayo Technology”, “Straight to the Bank” and “I Get Money” from 50’s latest album “Curtis”. But you all know that it was Justin Timberlake who helped make “Ayo Technology” the hit that it was. And even with popular track “I Get Money”, I was only buying that song for playtime in the clubs.
My point is, I haven’t heard a decent single from 50 Cent, let alone a decent album, since his release of album “The Massacre” (liked only for the hit singles) and his most popular single to date, “In Da Club”, which was the lead single for his debut album “Get Rich or Die Tryin’”.
But ladies and gents, I believe I’ve found it. 50’s best single to date.
And the title is, “Get Up”.
Produced by Scott Storch, “Get Up” is the first official single off 50 Cent’s upcoming fourth album, “Before I Self Destruct”. The single features decent lyrics and a crazy beat, so for those of you who counted out 50 Cent after Kanye West showed him up on album “Graduation”, then you need to give him another chance. Or at least give this single a chance.
50 Cent confidently raps “My question is, who they goin’ blame; when I’m at number one on that billboard again?” Now don’t get too far ahead of yourself 50, but I can definitely say that you are on the right track.
If you haven’t heard 50’s latest single yet, listen to it here.

Yes I agree with you!
I haven’t given up on 50 just yet either, and I like where “Get Up” is taking him.
